Doctors in the practice perform a range of minor surgical procedures. These include removal of small skin lumps, spots and cysts. You should first make an appointment with your doctor to discuss the problem. If removal is necessary, and the problem is suitable for a minor operation under local anaesthetic, you will be sent an appointment in the post. Also enclosed will be a consent form, which you should bring with you when you attend. Some problems are best dealt with at the hospital, and a referral will be made.
Warts can usually be treated by over the counter preparations, so ask your pharmacist. If they are resistant to this treatment, then you can see your doctor for advice.
