Health Visitors

The health visitors are qualified nurses and midwives with extra qualifications which enable them to offer the following services to patients of the practice either in their own home or by appointment at the surgery.

The Health Visitors:

  • Specialise in monitoring the development of babies and children, including advice on behaviour problems.
  • Assess the health and social needs of elderly people living at home.
  • Advise on all aspects of child and adult health.
  • Perform hearing screening test during the newborn period

Mrs Sally Smith

I trained as a Registered General Nurse in Birmingham at Selly Oak Hospital, and as a Midwife at Lincoln County Hospital. I completed my Health Visitor training, and joined the Practice in September 1998.
